Beaumont Inn Wedding

ROSEMARY & PETER'S

watch the teaser filM

Grab some tissues for this one, this film is a bit of an emotional roller coaster. These kinds of weddings take us back to our roots as wedding filmmakers. Scranton’s Green Ridge. Big families. Catholic Masses. Packed dance floors. Seeing lots of familiar faces. Grace and Michael’s wedding day was the epitome of the weddings and couples we love to be a part of.

I believe that showcasing emotion and dialogue are the biggest driving forces behind a good wedding film. When you can authentically capture emotions – exuberance, vulnerability, nostalgia, humor – that’s when a wedding film becomes an heirloom film. While there were so many touching moments during their day, the second half of this film revolves around Mike’s brother’s speech – which was probably one of the best I’ve ever heard. His dialogue and delivery talked about bringing together two families into one. It touched on all the things I think of when I picture a Green Ridge wedding.

BEAUMONT INN

Rosemary & Peter

Music is the bedrock of every film and it
makes a big impact on how you feel.

My favorite part is when his brother paid a tribute to their late mother, who was clearly instrumental in cultivating a loving family. He talks about when she used to write their heights on a basement door in their house and how that relates to time gone by. I asked them to send me some footage of this and I think it visually enhanced that part greatly. Lastly, I wanted to reiterate how important music is to our films. Music is the bedrock of every film and makes a huge impact on what you are viewing. The musical selections need to complement the footage in a profound way, and it’s why we spend so much time searching for a soundtrack to your film. Even the smallest of details, like the key, tempo, or crescendos all play roles in how we decide what to use. When you watch Grace and Michael’s film, take note of the music and how that factors into your overall feeling. We’ll see everyone soon!
