From the moment I met Theo and Anthony at a coffee shop, I instantly knew it was going to be a great wedding. This one was going to have it all, they explained. Style. Energy. Intentions. What was there not to love? (Spoiler alert – it definitely lived up to the hype). The first thing you need to know about Theo and Anthony is they met while acting in the musical West Side Story. (That will help explain some of the quotes throughout their film) From there, their relationship flourished. A few weeks before their wedding, Martina and I came to NYC to do a story session with them. That day, we shared laughs, had a few glasses of wine, and filmed an intimate interview at their Manhattan apartment (with their dog Fletcher, of course). This not only provided additional footage for their film but gave us the chance to hang and get to know each other better.

We enjoyed their personalized vows, a terrific band, walks with Fletcher, and the most perfect speeches. Reading the SCOTUS marriage equality decision during their ceremony was a powerful moment. What. A. Day. I am so happy Theo and Anthony chose us to document their love story. As said in one of their speeches, “Tonight, tonight - it all began tonight.”
